My stay at Indigo Tree was quite the mixed experience. While I really appreciated the serene location surrounded by rice plantations, I found the service and room quality left a lot to be desired. The facilities, especially the pool, weren't as clean as I hoped, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of my time there.

Rooms
5.0
I stayed in a room that was constantly boiling hot, and though it had a private pool, it wasn’t very inviting; it was okay for a quick dip. The design might look appealing initially, but there was a lack of basic amenities, and the air conditioning struggled to keep the space cool.
Service
5.0
The service was a real letdown. Staff seemed overwhelmed and unprepared, which made requests take far too long. I often felt like I was dealing with a chaos rather than a relaxing getaway, and I didn’t feel particularly welcomed during my stay.
Location
8.0
Being away from the noise of Ubud was a nice touch. The peaceful surroundings were perfect for relaxation and escaping the hustle and bustle, especially if you have your own transportation to explore nearby areas.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast options were quite limited; I got bored of the simple choices like pancakes and fruit after a few days. Some dishes, like the omelettes, came at an extra cost, which felt unnecessary for a hotel stay.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities weren’t what I expected. The pool was dirty, and the kitchen in our villa lacked the necessary equipment to really be functional. I didn't feel comfortable using the private pool, as it didn't look clean enough, which was disappointing.

My stay at Indigo Tree in Ubud was quite the experience. The stunning decor and beautiful surroundings were a feast for the eyes. While the remote location offered a tranquil escape, I wished for better accessibility to central Ubud. The staff were friendly and attentive, though the restaurant's service could be quite slow at times.

Rooms
8.0
The villas were beautifully decorated and clean, though the high glass walls made them quite warm during the day. The air conditioning worked well, but I could see how it might struggle in the common areas.
Service
7.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and eager to help. However, the consistency of the shuttle service could improve, as I experienced some delays when trying to get into town.
Location
6.0
The hotel is remote, nestled among rice fields, which I found peaceful. However, I needed to rely on their shuttle service to access shops in central Ubud, and the road to the villa could use some improvement.
Dining
6.0
The food was fresh and tasty, but I found the service quite slow at times, especially with a larger group. The menu could benefit from more variety to keep it interesting during longer stays.
Facilities
7.0
The resort had beautiful pools and options for massages, which I enjoyed. However, I believe they should offer complimentary water bottles, especially since the tap water isn't drinkable.

My stay was a unique blend of beauty and challenges. The artfully designed hotel was stunning, nestled amidst picturesque rice plantations, making it a peaceful retreat. However, some issues with maintenance and service prevented it from being a perfect getaway.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were beautifully designed and exuded artistic charm, but not without drawbacks. The air conditioning struggled, and I faced intermittent water supply issues, leading to some discomfort during my stay.
Service
8.0
The staff were genuinely attentive and eager to help, which I truly appreciated. However, some service aspects could benefit from more attention, especially regarding maintenance requests that weren't fully addressed.
Location
9.0
The location was idyllic, surrounded by rice fields and away from the hustle. It provided a tranquil escape, yet being slightly off the main tourist path meant I needed a scooter to explore effectively.
Dining
8.0
Dining options were nice, with a lovely range of dishes, but the menu could become repetitive after a few days. I enjoyed the meals, especially the fresh fruit and local specials.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities like the pool and spa were inviting and well-maintained. However, the upkeep of the common areas could use some improvement, as I noticed some wear and tear.

Staying at Indigo Tree was an experience filled with both charm and frustration. The peaceful location among rice plantations made for a serene getaway, but I faced several issues including a lack of proper room accommodations and some cleanliness concerns. While the staff was friendly and worked hard, the overall management seemed to miss the mark in many areas.

Rooms
5.0
My room had an attractive design, but there was no natural ventilation and the air conditioning struggled to keep up. The bathroom was large and comfortable, but I missed having a window to air it out. The severe heat and some minor maintenance issues were disappointing.
Service
5.0
The staff tried their best and were genuinely friendly, which I appreciated. However, the management lacked attention to detail, and this impacted overall service quality. Long wait times for coffee and complications with my booking made for a less than ideal experience.
Location
6.0
The location is a great escape from Ubud's hustle, surrounded by beautiful rice fields. However, I noticed that the area near the hotel had some local gatherings that could be distracting, although I hired a scooter to explore further afield.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast options were limited to basic items like pancakes and fruit platters, which became monotonous after a few days. The dining experience for our group events was also not well-executed, further dampening our stay.
Facilities
5.0
While the resort had several pools, some were not well-maintained. I did enjoy the large athletic pool, but the overall maintenance needed improvement. Additional amenities like room service and a shuttle were available, but their quality could be enhanced.

My stay at Indigo Tree in Ubud was enchanting. This hotel is an artistic masterpiece, beautifully designed and incredibly relaxing. While being a bit removed from Ubud’s bustling center was a bonus for me, the luxurious amenities and attentive staff made the experience even better. However, I did find the food options could get a bit repetitive after a few days.
